5inco is an interesting eaterie. The decor is eclectic, maybe trying to channel the spirit of Dali... The food is good, I can't say it was excellent. The appetizers that I had. the ropa vieja croquettes & empanadas were a bit too greasy and the flavors should have been bolder to offset the oil. The baked provoleta I did enjoy a lot but that is a very easy dish. The skirt steak had good taste but the texture was way to soft, no sear or slight crust on the outside, and seriously lacking salt. The half smoked chicken was also good, but looked more like a Cornish hen it was so small. The dark meat was tender but the breast was a bit overcooked. The service was acceptable but if I have to continually ask for my water glass to be filled, that in my opinion, lowers the standard of service. In addition, the kitchen should have timed the plates better. Entrees arrived after other had finished their meals.
